MSgt. (Ret.) John P. Clark
US Air Force, Vietnam Veteran

Born on 3 Mar 1945, Newark, New Jersey and raised in Irvington, New Jersey until enlistment in the United States Air Force on 20 July 1965. Attended St. Leo’s Catholic School, St. Paul the Apostle School, St. Benedict’s Preparatory School and Irvington High School graduating in June 1963. October 1980 received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Community College of the USAF. July 1983 received a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the State University of New York.

Upon completion of USAF Basic Training at Lackland AFB, TX attended USAF Technical Aircraft Weapons Maintenance Mechanic Course at Lowry AFB, CO. Upon completion of Technical Training was assigned to the 56th Munitions Maintenance Squadron (H), B 52G Griffiss AFB, Rome NY. In November 1966 received an assignment to the Republic of South Vietnam with a Temporary Duty to Luke AFB, AZ before reporting to the 31st Tactical Fighter Wing, F-100, 308th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Tuy Hoa AB, RVN on 31 Jan 1967. On 28 Jan 1968 departed Tuy Hoa RVN for my next assignment to the F-100, 4515th Munitions Maintenance, Luke AFB, AZ. In May 1969 departed Luke AFB, AZ for my next assignment to the F-100 20th Tactical Fighter Wing, 55th Tactical Fighter Squadron, RAF Wethersfield, United Kingdom. In May 1970 the 20th Tactical Fighter Wing moved to RAF Upper Heyford , United Kingdom in order to transition to a new aircraft the F-111E. June 1974 departed RAF Upper Heyford for a new assignment and career field change to Air Force Office of Special Investigations and became a Special Agent at AFOSI District 8, Maxwell AFB, AL. In Jun 1978 departed Maxwell AFB, Al for an assignment to AFOSI Detachment 413, McGuire AFB, NJ. In August 1981 departed MCGuire AFB, NJ for an assignment to AFOSI District 30, Howard AFB, Republic of Panama. June 1984 departed Panama with a change in career fields to USAF Open Mess Management at 23rd Fighter Wing, Assistant Manager, NCO Open Mess, England AFB, LA. In June 1986 departed England AFB, LA for a assignment to 51st Fighter Wing, Open Mess Manager, Suwon Consolidated Open Mess, Suwon AB, Republic of South Korea. June 1987 departed South Korea for an assignment to Nellis AFB, NV, Assistant Manager, Nellis Officers Club. On 1 Aug 1988 retired from the United States Air Force as a MSgt with just over 23 years.

 Upon my retirement returned to South Korea in October 1988 and lived and worked there for a period of over 20 years departing January 2009. During my years in South Korea worked the majority of the time as a Defense Contractor.

From July 1997 thru January 2009 worked for Dyna Corp International as a Supply Technician supporting US Army Aviation on CH-47, UH-60 and AH-64 aircraft.

 January 2009 accepted a job offer as a Defense Contractor as a Senior Supply Analyst  to work in Iraq supporting UH-60 and AH-64 aircraft at Talil and Balad AB. Departed in November 2009 as I was injured in a fall while at work and returned to my family in Thailand.

 July 2003 we left Thailand and had my family emigrate to the United States in Texas. We returned so that my wife and daughter could become American citizens. June 2014 was hired by the USAF as a GS-05, Supply Technician until May 2016 promoted to GS-06 as a Production Controller until present.
